The second of an exciting series of features on the service stations of the UK on my website, the subject of todays article is Corley Southbound from Welcome Break.
Corley South is a Welcome Break services on the M6 south of Coventry, opened in 1972.
The services is adjoined to Corley North via a footbridge - which is handy if everybody on you coach joins the BK queue together, or if you would like to stay in the Days Inn located on the northbound services area.
The services comprises of a main services building, Starbucks drive-thru, and filling station. Instavolt have recently installed a bank of EV chargers considerably increasing the Chademo socket supply over the legacy Gridserve units.
The main services building comprises a KFC, Burger King, Subway, Chopstix / The Good Breakfast and Starbucks units. There is also a Waitrose and WH Smith stores, a gift store, and gaming area. The restaurant seating is nice enough - but avoid sitting underneath the glazed roof when the sun is out (not usually a problem in Burnley).
Outside is pleasant enough with plenty of grass to exercise human or canine children on, seating, and a beautiful vista across the flowing M6 towards Corley North.
